Hacking Need help updating Smash Bros.

Hi there,
I want to update my SSB4 U

This is what I currently have:

• SSBU [EU] ver.224 (is what sm4sh explorer tells me)
• a dump of said game and version on my pc
• a ver.288 folder donwloaded via UWizard

Now I am kind of confused as to how I am supposed to update my game.
I think I understand that I can combine the 288 folder with the "dt" and "ls" files from my original dump to get a ver.288(1.1.6) dump. So that would update my dump, but if I were to make a build with that dump via Sm4sh explorer, wouldn't that be incompatible with my ver.224 game on my console?

So how am I supposed to update the SSB4 on my console without updating the system (I use DNS and Router Blacklist to block updates)

Any help is appreciated
