I downloaded the english patch version. But it keeps getting stuck on this screen.

Actually no. I just downloaded an already patched version. Oddly enough I can't find a link for just the patch by itself.

Download the original version, pass that screen, and then copy the modified iso one, and enjoy.

Aww man. It's been a long time since I've hacked my psp. I forgot how I did it. Is it difficult to upgrade to 6.61?

Not at all.

But as far as i know, judging by the color of your psp, you got a Slim, so.. i need a little bit of information here.
First of all, 6.61 its pretty much compatible with all PSP Motherboards. however, some people prefer to make it Permanent. meaning that you don't have to launch the custom firmware each time you power on your console.

Can you by change confirm me your model of you PSP? and your motherboard?

You can t install a full cfw.

Download the 6.61 official fw and install it.
Download 6.61 Lme (the L version, not just me)
And install it.

You are done

You can also try to install 6.61 infinity now or wait for v1.02

Falso, CFW 6.20 PRO, its compatible with ALL PSP, infinity can be made also to be permanent:

As for Custom Firmware Pro, 6.20 Pro Mod, can be fully installed on ANY psp, if he wish to go highger, as example, 6.61, he can also install it normally, however, he wont be able to make it permanent, as CIPL Flasher only works on not Forbidden Motherboards.

My psp is a silver 3000. It came with the ratchet and clank bundle. The custom firmware doesn't have to be permanent. Cause if it ever breaks, and I need to send it to sony, they won't fix it if they find custom firmware on it. The serial number is HU0594211

Just Download 6.61 official update, then install Custom Firmware Pro on it.

There s no need to install an outdated fw.
If he wants a permanent cfw infinity is the best choice, you CANNOT unbrick your device on 6.20.....
Old permanent patches are NOT recommended today.

You can install both cfw, lme and pro and boot them from xmb with no problems.
I think the lme is better, but you can use the one you like.

I don t think sony will repair your psp.

Well custom firmware pro isn't working for me. When I press X to install it, instead of rebooting the psp, it shuts down. I'll try Lme now.

http://wololo.net/installing-pro-cfw-on-a-psp-3000-psp-brite/ just replace the 6.60 with the 6.61, it snot that hard. lol.
