It looks like Shift isn't looking too bad afterall. In fact, it looks like it will be good enough to rival even GRID!

Need for Speed: Shift is EA's racing simulation, featuring realistic handling and physics for some of the world's top racing vehicles. These screenshots show off cars from both Audi and Porsche, giving me the impression that once again my 96 Nissan Sentra will not be making an appearance. Perhaps if they dropped an "F" from the title.

So, what do you think? The in-car is rather eerily reminiscent of Project Gotham Racing 3 for the Xbox 360. Definitely not a bad thing though, as that remains one of my favorite racers of the current generation. Check out the rest of the screens in our gallery below.

Looks amazing! But we all know the screens released by companies to show off their newest games hardly ever reflect the retail in-game graphics

You telling me, anyone seen the PSP Motorstorm ones?

Yes. They look even better than the Game looks on the PS3 ...

To be honest, the NFS screenshots don't really look in-game to me. :\

They do if I view them in their fullsize though.
They STILL GOT THESE LOWRES CAR TEXTURES.
This is one of the things that annoys me the most, EA always uses lowres textures for their cars which results in really pixelated skins.

I better not have to drive from inside the car. I enjoy actually being able to win races.
