Hacking Need alternative soldering point Please help

Hi.

Im looking for an alternative solder point for number 1 pad on a wiikey install.

Ive successfully installed wires to number 2,3,4,5 and 6 pad but number one pad burnt away(this is the larger pad next to the yellow square grid on the wii).

Any help would be appreciated pictures would be a real bonus.

get either a fine sand paper, or a crafting knife, and scratch the pcb protective film (the green film) then solder your point to that scratched off area

or look for another gnd

no traces coming out of the point will be a gnd

oh my bad, acually theres another ground pad, sorry, i thought it was power let me find a wii drive picture and point it out for you

Not quite sure what your picture shows Takrin. Are you saying i can solder to the pad marked number 8, is this a suitable ground. The pad you have marked secondary ground is the pad i have burnt off.

yea sorry forgot wiikey uses other ground, but #8 is ground also
