Gaming Necessary data could not be found

So before I rented sushi striker and updated it. Now I have homebrewed my switch but after I switched to a bigger sd card I have this error Some Necessary data could not be found and it is the update to sushi striker the of way of sushido....

I have the dns settings and with homebrew should you update your games ? I'm not worried about playing online but not sure if get me banned which pretty sure it would ?

I thought I deleted all the software before from when I played it... any way to fix this ?

Never update the games through the nintendo store! That will get you flagged and banned, even if you are using incognito/dns settings.
If there wasnt any save (checkpoint, edizon) im pretty sure you can't fix it

You think deleting the save will get rid of it needing the update ? I didn't really get to far and could care less about my save.
