Hacking NDSL R4 Revolution 3 for Ds

My cousin got this fake R4 card and asked me to help him fix a problem. He tried to update the sd card so that it used Wood R4 instead of the old firmware but when he tries to load the R4 on his ds it gets stuck on the loading screen. I've looked at lots of the websites through google and many people have the same problem but all have been solved by either formatting it or getting Wood R4. I backed up his stuff and then I used the Parasonic formattter and formatted his sd card. Then I placed the games back on it but it still got stuck on the loading screen when I turned on the ds .He doesn't want to buy a new one because he believes there is a way to solve this problem. I've also tried putting an older firmware on it but it still won't work. Can someone please help us?

so its a DSTTi Clone

Download RGF's are stated above
(Use DSTTi-Clone YSMenu folder)
Rename TTMenu.dat to _DS_MENU.DAT and then DLDI patch _DS_MENU.DAT

you should then be good to go

I downloaded the file and renamed the TTMenu.DAT but I don't see the DLDI patch.
