Hi all...

Is there such a homebrew that can transfer any file from one NDS console to another? I have seen a PC to NDS app, but I could really use a program that can transfer a file from NDS to NDS.

Is it possible to transfer a file this way?

Cheers in advance.

yes, yes there is. This question has been asked a countless number of times. However, the program is a proof of concept and its RIDICULOUSLY SLOW!! Both people need flashcarts too.......
Thanks nitrodude150...

So what is this app called?

If you have acekard rpg you can transfer game or 1 file to your friends microsd (I think it is best that you can do at these times

Thanks.

yes its called DS2DS latest version AFAIK is 3.2 it works but only really useful for sending save games and small files unless you have about half hour to spare to send anything bigger!

Unfortunately, that is impossible for many flashcarts.
No, I've worked most of it out: you run the homebrew, pick a file, load the file to the ram, swap the SD card(NOT THE CART!!!), write the file to the new SD card and done!

That is impossible on, for example, the R4, where the DLDI-Patch only works if the R4 system menu launches the homebrew. If the DLDI patch initialises the SD card, like Chishm's Supercard SD DLDI patch, it might work.

Oh? If I recall right the DS doesn't have all that much RAM. How does it work for files bigger than the available RAM?

I'm certainly interested in NDS to NDS transfer. It'll be useful to share games among friends for multiplayer.

ya only about 4MB (less for homebrews), once I get small files working then I'll work on chopping up the file and do it bit by bit (turn the DS on and off on and of....)

There's DS2DS which uses Wifi, and there's another test app that sends data to another flashcart user directly through local ad-hoc wireless but it's a buggy test program more than anything. I don't know the name of the second program, sorry, though I do know it's on the GBAdev forums somewhere.

There's also an app that sends a single *.nds file to another DS through Download Play, but it only works when the receiving DS is flashed. Again, GBAdev forums somewhere.
