Hacking NDS Lite Battery and R4

Well, i'm experiencing some problems with my NDS and my R4. The problem: i don't know well, but, the battery dies after 9 or 8 hours of gameplay, when it was supposed to handle 15 hours (following the manual). Is this normal? Does R4 forces more use of the battery?

slot 2s generally need a slot one running as well, so yes

Many slot2 cards drain the battery faster than slot1's do.

Slot1 - About 5% faster (sleep mode is considerably less efficient)

Slot2 - About 15% faster (depending on the patching options used for various games)


That really hurts on a DS phat with its 6-10 hour default battery life, but I consider it quite tolerable on a DSlite, especially when you consider the obvious benefits of having flashcarts.
