Hacking NDS Fire Card 2 16Gb - 2GB .....??

Expensive and at least with the other slot 1 cards you can change the cheap memory as and when you want

It's a good card that has great compatibility, slot - 2 card writer, and has 2 GB (16 gb) of built in highspeed NAND flash memory.
It's a good deal, can play multimedia content aswell.
No DLDI drivers available at present, but don't worry, there should be one available sooner or later.
I haven't checked the price but, in comparison, the DSLinker 16 Gb retail price is around 65 Euros.

squirt1000: If one can't afford to put around 60 bucks on decent card, there's no point in picking up a flashcard the first place. Now tell me which is a better deal? This or 512 Mb DS-X for 99 Euros ?

Of course both cards use the same kind of highspeed memory, the Fire Link however burns roms using a USB burner that you plug into slot - 2 for writing roms only, you don't need the actual writer to play your games

Just shop around... Neo MK5, DSLinker, DSFire linker, Ultraflashpass Ex 8/16G, Xpresscard - they're all the same!!
 
Wow i didnt realise there were so many cards on the market.

It would be good if someone could do a comparison guide - i have no idea where to start!

I was just going to get a DSX but maybe that isnt the best option..

These Firelink cards are cheaper, have a greater capacity, and i quite like the separate usb linking thing.

Which one would you guys recommended?

I have done some research and it looks like the R4 card is the best option! Well looks like it to me.

2 quick questions for you guys:

1)Does using this card - or any other card for that matter void you Nintendo DS warranty.... sorry if thats a silly question....but just making sure before i take the plunge!

2) Does online play work the same using these cards - is there any problems at all?

zatelli after reading more into it, im gonna grab me a G4 that can use removable media and is therefor much more affordable! Money isnt an issue... As I said, id never heard of the card and in UK prices (GBP) it seems expensive considering the competition at the moment!!

1. Unless you flash your DS with a non-stealth version, Nintendo will find it hard to ever know that you have been pirating software.
2. In most cases, online play works using the R4, and most probably other cards as well. Only download play is an issue

Although im not buying it to play pirated games so thats OK - I just wondered if it did anything to the DS firmware or anything.

What is downlaod play then anyway?
