No Java or Flash. Many sites were misinformed.

It will be just like the (E) and (J) versions. At best, it may have some speed optimizations.

Flash 9 requires a 500mhz CPU. Flash 7 would just cause sites to tell you to get the latest version of Flash. No Flash.

It will have Javascript support, but not pure Java. They are two different things. No Java.

Besides, the browser has no sound support, YT vids are mostly useless without sound. No YT vid viewing on the DS browser.

I've been arguing with the kiddies on the NSider forums about this, but I thought people here would be smarter about this sort of stuff. Guess not.

The most important thing to notice here, is this neat fact, you little porn wankers:

"Based on the light and lightning-fast Opera browser, the full-featured Nintendo DS Browser includes Javascript and Flash support. You can access the web via your home wireless internet connection or any hot-spot access point."

- Taken from: http://www.nintendo.com/gamemini?gameid=ZR...ZjWFInT-vIEngbV

Read it and weep. Seems like we're getting a better browser than those Euros. =O

Read where?

Notice that their site no longer has any nonsense about supporting Flash anymore.

Don't lose faith in us, the "smarter" people just covered the topic months ago when the Japan and Europe versions came out. America, welcome to what it's like to be in Europe; there's very little interest in discussing games around their release date because they've already been discussed months before. Everyone knows the browser won't support flash, which just leaves the latecomers to ask in threads like this.

Besides, if they were releasing a flash browser it'd go to Japan first. That's how the games industry works. Just speculation, but I'm willing to bet that the American delay is due to legal issues rather than them making modifications to the software.

Ya know what... on the link just posted (http://www.nintendo.com/gamemini?gameid=ZRIHM-K7C6pLPkN--ZjWFInT-vIEngbV) it does still say it.

Try refreshing your page, it didn't say it when I looked on Sunday and it doesn't say it now either. QUOTEÂ Â ... *Â Navigation's a breeze with the touch screen!

Someone on gamespot forums got one today...

Youtube - This site loads, but cannot play videos because it needs Macromedia Flash Player 8 and JavaScript enabled.

Imeem and Music - Also does not play music, just like Youtube it needs Macromedia Flash Player 8 and JavaScript enabled.

Ebuddy - This site works, I've logged onto AIM successfully and invited myself (a different screen name on my laptop) into a chatroom and have successfully chatted with each other

KoolIM - This site doesn't work, it says "Oops, AJAX support is not available!"
