nds-bootstrap loader: Run commercial NDS backups from an SD Card

nds-bootstrap:

Thanks to the work of ahezard, Gericom, Apache, Robz8, _catcatcat, and shutterbug2000 and other contributors, we can now load NDS games from the SD card, without any flashcard/SLOT-1 card.

Don't expect high compatibility, but do expect many, many updates.

Well I am having two main issues with it so far. The first is that the soft reset doesn't work but just gives an arm9 exception in Luma (it works in Rei-Six 1.2 though the Rei-Six splash screen is displayed before rebooting into dsimenu++). The second is that the sound is often staticky when running ds games.

I noticed static in Mario cart but not elite beat agents.

I am trying to update nds_bootstrap to 0.9.0 but reloader won't update past 0.8.0 . I have tried doing the update inside twloader as well as replacing the files on my PC . Can someone tell me if I'm doing something wrong and how I can fix it?

You can't update in TWLoader, as it's discontinued for DSiMenu++. You have to update manually.

With the latest official and unofficial bootstrap, the sound in SM64DS, MKDS and NSMB is crackling even when set to "Stereo".
Also Soul Silver is working great with official, has AP issues with unofficial.

Just tried the unofficial build and Rune Factory 3 works perfectly without any lag or sound static, compared to when I first tried using this a few months back this is a huge change.

Rockman.EXE Operate Shooting Star with it's english patch always works perfectly.

why do i feel the sudden urge to start singing pirate's scorn from the donkey kong country cartoon?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Are you being for real, cause that's hard to believe, DK is Nintendo and made in japan, Sea of thieves was from Microsoft, in America. I'm not calling you a liar, just didn't know.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Ok yes they were both made by Rare, but DK was from Rare back then, Rare now is owned by MS. So makes since.
