I like how the crators managed to craft seemingly unrelated or barely related episodes and ALWAYS manage to string them together at the end of the story arc in a "This is gonna blow your F*CKING MIND, KID!" kind of way. Hardly any event, both in SAC, SAC 2nd GIG or even the SAC full lenght feature is without relevance - they interconnect seemlessly by the end, when you get the bigger picture.

I haven't actually seen any of the movies.

I have read the 1, 2, and 1.5 mangas though.

Gotta' check out those movies some time...

4Kids was total shit. It's not even weeabo stuff, they'll literally censor the anime to hell and cut out entire arcs because it contains something they don't like, only to find out later it was actually important, so then they have to edit more episodes to fit the important info in.

4Kids can't translate anime worth crap. Their dubbing abilities suck, they often overly censor something that doesn't need to be censored. Rice balls aren't jelly donuts. Heaven forbid that American children learn about onigiri.

Ever watch their One Piece dub? Sanji sounds like someone who had a lobotomy. Naruto? He can't even pronounce the name "Sasuke" right. And the "Believe it!" comes from datte ba yo, which doesn't really translate, but more adding emphasis to a sentence.

4Kids ruins perfectly good anime. Okay, I'll agree with you on Pokemon, but One Piece or DBZ, neither needed to be ruined by such a shoddy company. Glad they filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Like I understand that 4Kids does a lousy localization job but it's not like they were converting masterpieces. You don't watch One Piece or Dragon Ball Z for the deep story and complex character. You watch it to see goofy characters bust a nut screaming and punch each other through mountains.

No, they're not shining examples per se, but they really should have asked a good company to do the translation, or maybe hire real actors, but I digress. I watch One Piece because the characters are crazy and goofy. I read the changes they made....*shudder* I felt a part of me die a bit.

In any given episode where guns are used, the gun will be edited out, leaving characters (including intimidating guards) pointing their fingers at each other — though that doesn't stop anyone from acting like they're holding instruments of harm. For instance after Bandit Keith loses to Joey he pulls a gun out of his pocket and points it at Pegasus' head, but in the edited 4Kids version he points his finger at his head. And he still talks like he's going to shoot him.

I remember Disney wanting to edit Princess Mononoke to fit a PG rating, but Studio Ghibli send an authentic katana to their headquarters and wrote in English on a note, "No Cuts". Since then none of the anime localized through them has been censored.

And I'm glad 4Kids filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Well it's ridiculous but it's not like the show was ruined. I remember that episode as a kid I don't think it would be any more redeeming uncut.

In all fairness I have woken up on many occasions to Beyblades playing on the TV and that is some of the worst shit I've seen.

It's almost as bad as the 3D animated Garfield Show.
