I want to back up my NAND. I have BootMii installed as boot2, and I also have DVDx and Homebrew Channel installed, but I don't think these two matter. The problem is that when I start my Wii in the BootMii menu, I have no IR pointer on the screen, nor can I use the D-pad to select anything. I have tried uninstalling BootMii, DVDx and HBC and installing them again, but the result was the same. And I am sure that BootMii is installed as boot2. Can anyone help me with this?

have you tried a gamecube controller?

BootMii doesn't use the Wiimote, you need a gamecube pad.

or just use the power, reset and eject buttons to navigate

You could also try the hw-buttons:

Only GC oad and the wii's face buttons work in BootMii menu... it's in the fricken' README!

BootMii beta3 allows using hw-buttons in IOS-mode, too.
