Nokia N900 or Iphone?
I all ready have an ipod touch
what should i get ?
Sell the itouch and get the iphone
I'd get the iPhone. By judgement, I think it is a better choice. Also, the sheer joy of the App Store.
And jailbreak it. (See my sig...)
lol i don't think i could sell it since it is scratched
wats with ur sig?
there's no spirit
All I see is a Death Note sig and a link to azure0wind's profile.
it is cut-off by GBAtemp, but this is in his sig:
I'm not going to vote, cause I don't know.
However, the ipod touch and the iphone is very much like eachother... I'd think it'd be nice to have two different pieces of hardware, instead of two similar that can do the same things.
n900 since you have an ipod touch. jailbreak the ipod =D
i have various vids on cool tweaks from jailbreaking. just visit my channel on youtube (link in my sig)
Nokia N900 for Maemo!
Oh right didn't tell you which one I'd choose. I'd go for the N900.
lol i already jailbroke my ipod touch you dont need to explain the programs lol
btw thanks guys for helping me decide
ill wait till next week and the the scores
N900 all the way.
I have an N900 and an iPod Touch 2G. I hate using my iPod Touch now, it crashes quite frequently and there aren't any really really useful apps available for me anyway. The lack of flash and the general bugginess and slowness of Safari makes it even worse. I can confidently say the reception of Wi-Fi on the N900 is greatly superior than the iPod, since I can receive networks very strongly in places where the iPod can't even detect.
The N900 easily craps all over the iPod/iPhone in terms of web browsing and processing power, and when overclocked, craps even more over it. I know that PSX games can be emulated full speed when overclocked to 850MHz, and a vast majority of N900's can overclock to 900MHz. The web browser is the best of its class, with full flash support and no lag, and no crashes. Downloading is also easy as well, compared to the non-existant crap you have in Safari.
In terms of comparing screens, the N900 is resistive and the iPhone is capacitive. That means that the N900 isn't as "finger friendly" as the iPhone. However, I prefer using resistive screens since you can use a stylus (eat hairy ***** Steve Jobs, I like my styluses/styli) and things are a lot more accurate. It's gotten so stuck to me that I try using my fingernail to scroll on my iPod only to remember that it only works with human touch >
I'm in the same situation as you are. Got a jailbroken iPod Touch so I'm never going to buy an (overpriced!) iPhone at almost €500. A phone with the Android OS is the way to go, you'd be retarded not to get an Android enabled phone for the price range you are looking at. Sure, the N900 is a nice phone with Maemo and all, but that's going to be outdated pretty soon. Android offers you the same amount of customizing as the iPhone and it's still growing very fast.
I forgot to mention, you can hack the N900 to dual boot Android too! And MeeGo is coming out soon, which looks extremely promising. I'm not going to palm off Android, because it IS a good OS. However, I prefer Maemo's method of multitasking, which is extremely convenient.
N900, iPhone is like iPod touch. N900
so n900 is the way to go
i thought that there will be more iphone votes :S
