Gaming Fewer smartphone ports

Not many games seem to get smartphone ports anymore. Ten years ago, platform-maxing was popular and many console games would release on phones. That seems to be happening less and less. Are they any industry voices explaining why, or is this a quiet shift?

I think the launch of Apple Arcade marked the start of this trend.

Yes I know Subnautica and Death Stranding are on iPad now, but that's incidental. Even Mina The Hollower skipped iPhone.

What do you all think?
 
Maybe because there are more ways to play PC games on phones nowadays? I have to admit though, I've been completely out of the loop for many years, I don't play mobile games/ports at all (unless you consider Vita ports of old mobile ports :lol:).
