Hello, recently I have been having trouble with my New 3DS XL. When first powering on the unit super stable 3D, the front camera, and the back cameras work without issue. After playing a game for ~10 minutes or leaving the system closed for a while the super stable 3D and cameras no longer function. After this happens suspending a game will sometimes result in a crash. Trying to use the camera app after the super stable 3D stops working will always result in a crash or instructions to restart the system. When rebooting the unit if a cartridge is in the card slot the unit will not boot to the home screen. The blue and yellow light will come on and the theme music will play briefly before the unit hangs on a black screen. Tapping the touch screen will cause the splash to appear and the process is repeated. If no cartridge is present the unit seems to boot regularly. The unit will not wake from sleep mode after being closed for extended periods of time.
Is this is a software issue?
If this is a hardware issue what are my options for repair?
- The super stable 3D and cameras were functioning properly until last week or so.
- The super stable 3D and cameras work upon first powering on the unit.
- I have never opened the top shell on this unit.
