Hardware N3DS sold out everywhere.

I find it hard to believe Nintendo would recall all 3DSs in order to update them. Any more sources to verify this? They must be confidant the latest firmware is downgrade proof for most people.

I find it hard to believe you can't find any in-stock online, everywhere has them.

The going price for a New 3DS seems to be £140 ish and a New 3DS XL is £170.

Why not just buy the old 3DS XL for £100? i personally wouldn't say the "new" 3DS XL is worth the extra £70.

I'm here in the U.S., and have no problem finding N3DS units under $200 USD (MSRP). You could buy one, then flash it with A9LH and change it's region to EUR.

I would. The improved 3D alone makes it worth it and puts the 3D of the o3DS to shame. Having the ability to change the CPU clock to improve performance in games is nice and the c-stick is nice in the few games that use it.

The cpu clock is the only reason i want it since i want to play games at a better fps once i install a9lh.

This just came up on Tesco too: Save £20 when you spend £150 or more by entering code TDX-WYMJ, so £150 for a New 3DS XL or Save £10 when you spend £75 or more by entering code TDX-TNMP, which makes the New 3DS £130.

That will probably be the cheapest you can get one at the moment

Ah i forgot about the improved 3D, not something i ever use but i could see why someone might want it.

It's a popular product and I imagine they keep production runs limited in order to better control firmware and what ever other issues they will never admit to. Local stores run through their stock fast around here so they get new shipments often and thus get the latest firmware.

I will agree how annoying this problem is on sites like Amazon. They always seem to have long periods of time with no stock. Been that way for a long time
