I was thinking there would be metal contacts on the bottom aligned to where they should be. Maybe it could be more extruded at the point of connection to give it a better chance of not falling off, because "glue/sticker backs" are not known to be long lasting or dependable.
I don't think it'll work. If the connections are even the tiniest bit loose, you can corrupt the NAND. This can lead to ore damage.

The DAT0, CMD, CLK, and GND are all you need.

Yes. I used about 6 different ones before just getting a confirmed working one

Get a compatible reader and then you'll know the reader isn't the problem

How did you go about removing those ribbon cables? My N3DS lost the home button due to that, and I'm getting another N3DS and I want to be cautious about it.

there is no special way to do this is simply to take care to remove and replace the cable, particularly what I do is hold the click finger while I remove or insert the cable.

Is there place to buy that adafruit breakout board pre cutted for my n3ds XL? Except that infinitydream one since it's like $20 (expensive) and I live in usa not France

Check ebay, it's under $2 or amazon for around $4.

As you can see i cutted it a little bit with a wire cutter (easy) to fit in, there is a similar board possible, but this one fits perfectly.
