im betting my last £ gateway has the keys too, they just dont play their hand until they need too

They've done this before, no one knew about the OoT gamesave hack but them, and someone figured out how to fix all regional game saves to help boot Gw menu. I'm sure they have other tricks up there sleeves.

Why would they want to do this? How would this help them in any way?

Don't know if you would happen to know, but if I am interested in playing "backed-up" games, would I be interested in RXtools or PastaCFW. I don't understand the differences between them. Any links to tutorials or explanations would be helpful.

But for what reason? To sell? They don't seem like people who would be interested in selling their exploit. They seem like people who sit on it to claim they have it while others don't. There have been many instances of devs like this in the iOS jailbreaking community.

Yellows8 actually had the OoT savegame hack back in 2011 I think. Not sure if GW got the sploit from him or found it themselves.

Well, those people probably did it for fame, to be the 1st to accomplish something any current dev hasn't done yet.

I'm not sure. I think Yellows8 kept it under the blanket, but I know that some other devs knew about it before it got released.
