hmmm so just install exploit, rename profile, change name back to original? What I wanted to say is that step wasn't necessary for me.

ok i dont suppose it matters that much, install exploit and mess with profile name in some order = profitPerhaps. I did the mid-time install, so I can't say.
This worked for me too! Thanks so much!
Previously the profile exploit was wiped till I tried this. Below are my actual steps.
1) Install the exploit using the N3DS_ROPInstaller.nds; e.g. Profile Name: slslasher
2) Go to settings and change Profile Name to another one; e.g. Profile Name: slslasher01
3) Launch a DS game, exploit would be gone
4) Install the exploit using the N3DS_ROPInstaller.nds again and it should be stuck
Extra Steps because I want to change back my original profile name
5) Go to settings and change Profile Name to my original one; e.g. Profile Name: slslasher
6) Launch exploit and test, there should be an error.
7) Install the exploit using the N3DS_ROPInstaller.nds again and it should be stuck
ok so it looks like we hit some sort of useful ds profile bug......might be a side effect of the fact we also have a downgraded mset or something maybe, whatever the name switching stuff does it seems to lock the exploit in place which is good
I noticed in my previous ds profile dump my language flag was set to JPN??? After the 'fix' it was set to English. (offset 0x64 & 0x75) language flag and extended language settings respectively.Side note : while my firmware is french, my DS Download Play is now english.
That's normal. His rop installer works by overwriting your ds profile completely with a dump of his own. The YS:/ is the beginning of the filepath to his app that the rop jumps to. You change that and the rxtools won't boot.I sort of came across an mset bug about a week ago. I downgraded my O3DS to 4.x and installed rxTools ROP. After messing around a bit, I tried to access the DS profile exploit but I was shown a bunch of random details, like the name was "YS:/" and so forth - I think Roxas even left his birthday in the ROP, not sure. It wouldn't let me change the details, for some reason :/ . I changed my 3DS profile name instead, then it let me change the DS profile... Strange. If I can repeat the results, I'll show ya - I doubt it would benefit anyone...

I don't know if the wrong language before was causing the profile to be wiped or not.

Are you guys just re-installing the cia or the nvram to get the exploit to stick?
No, go to page 4 (of this enormous 6 page thread)
So its the mset cia being installed using N3DS_ROPInstaller.nds? Sorry my knowledge regarding ropinstaller is non-existent.
Wouldn't this possibly cause issues? Does it not affect DS games? This worked for me too! Thanks so much!
