hmmmmm i think i may know what it is, a few more tests

EDIT....hmmm ok, so maybe, basically i changed my profile name, installed the exploit, tested it and it worked ran a DS game, exited and the exploit was wiped, my original profile name was gamesquest, and i just changed it to games......but i just tried again edited it back to gamesquest, then decided i want to double check if just "games" caused it to be wiped again, and this time it stuck fine........soooo idk, feel free to try messing with your profile name, might of just been another fluke, ir changing it can help it stick

OMG, this actually worked for me

It gets wiped for me. I did the NVRAM + mset_eur.cia + NVRAM steps. Don't have flashcarttimewarp although that can't possibly have anything to do with it since it's just a cartridge whitelist right?

you dont need to remove the SD to install the NVRAM exploit, thats only needed the once to downgrade MSET in sysnand

If you don't remove the MicroSD that has emunand it will write to your emunand's nvram instead of the sysnand.

I think cearp needs to edit his OP for people to include model type and sysNAND version just to help get a better understanding. The profile rename is a good start, perhaps there are remnants in system settings from the new to old mset that cause the profile ID to cause issues.

This worked for me too! Thanks so much!
Previously the profile exploit was wiped till I tried this. Below are my actual steps.

1) Install the exploit using the N3DS_ROPInstaller.nds; e.g. Profile Name: slslasher
2) Go to settings and change Profile Name to another one; e.g. Profile Name: slslasher01
3) Launch a DS game, exploit would be gone
4) Install the exploit using the N3DS_ROPInstaller.nds again and it should be stuck

Extra Steps because I want to change back my original profile name
5) Go to settings and change Profile Name to my original one; e.g. Profile Name: slslasher
6) Launch exploit and test, there should be an error.
7) Install the exploit using the N3DS_ROPInstaller.nds again and it should be stuck

so is the exploit sticking for you now and it didn't previously?

Yup! Tried it with

Did the exact same thing and I can confirm it works! :D I own a regular black New Nintendo 3DS

Maybe it's a bit offtopic but I want to ask people reading this topic :
If, on EmuNAND, you go check in your DS profile the color selected, is it :

1) The one you select in first place
2) The one your Gateway LED flashes
3) Your Mii main color

In my case, even if I change the color & make sure it's e.g. red, anytime I use NVRAM it defaults on blue and my Gateway LED flashes blue too...
It would be interesting to see if it's in any way related to that profile wipe problem

its more likely the cart flashing is just a side effect of the exploit triggering

After changing profile name ('Kommentar') and installing exploit, its stuck now ^^

OT Question, did anyone test flashcardtimewarp on new3ds for blue gw?
