That should fix any issues with homebrew's files. I'm not an expert, but that worked for me when my hblauncher wouldn't open.

Do you have a 3ds folder (NOT a Nintendo 3DS folder, but a "3ds" folder) and a boot.3dsx file on the root of your SD card?

Yes everything was going good until it started to update the firmware then it said it got an error. wait a few then power down then on and tried again and it just goes back the cubic nija main screen and said there is a error save and reboot and it keeps doing that it say's i'm at 9.2 but i don't think it did a complete install

So you got into the downgrade tool, and it gave you an error? I would just make sure you have the latest downgrade bin for your 3DS model.

i booted into cubic ninja erase the cfg went to qscan scan it in saved it to the cart it booted up hbluancher then i click on system updater 1.04 click on down grade it check all the files then it started the updating and in a few it said there was an error so i rebooted now i can't get back into hblauncer in cubic ninja keeps giving me error

Okay, then refresh the starter kit by overwrite the files from a fresh zip. That should work since it did for web hax.

I did it i went back and did the scan for firmware 9.20.20U and it loaded up hblauncher then i clicked on sysupdater then update and it completely updated to 9.2.0.20U i'm going to let it charge before i try the rest

A new way to install A9LH on New 3DS without the need to go back to ancient 2.1 FW.
It's very fast. That's why I tell you that you can continue doing A9LH.

ok how do i get the files? so i don't need to install decryp and that and backup my nan?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Hmm i don't know if i want to try that it say's it can brick your system

This guide should take you to OTPless, don't worry, it's safe now, just don't use faulty MicroSD when installing A9LH.

The whole guide can brick your system, it's stated at the very beginning. That said, if you follow the guide the rest of the way it has you do the OPT-less install method anyway as it's safer than the old route of downgrading to sysNAND 2.1. Just keep following the guide and it will have you do OTP-less install no issues.
