Hi,
Recently I received one and it come as "Locked"
And I have trouble unlocking it with that usb reader that come with, is there any way to place the tag to unlock it or a proper timing etc? because after two hours i am still on it and seriously that irritating to a certain point ~

Also it is compatible with win 10 right?

(before you ask no I do not have any android device that have nfc to unlock it ... yep only old android device there)

Yes it works fine with Windows 10.

Have you installed the drivers for the reader?
The locking is a bit annoying to unlock.

First you place the tag on the USB Reader. Press unlock, then it tells you what to do. What I learned DO NOT lift it off the USB Reader when it ask you to push the button. Hold it like claw kind of shape with your hand. Index finger and middle finger in the back of the n2 elite and then press with your thumb. That worked best for me, also hold the button, not just press it once.

If it doesn't unlock, try doing it again. Close the program every time however, it's a bit buggy. You MUST USE version 1.1, 1.0 can't unlock it.

yes I do have drivers, rebooted as it asked, each time I try to unlock it does say "unlock success" then no tag found and right after Amiiqo tag found but it stay as locked.
That why I pretty lost it seem to never work :X

Tried restarting your computer and then doing it? Try another USB port?

Have you tried holding the button down until it say "Success"?

I did tried both usb 3 and 2 same result and as I said I tried rebooting right after drivers installation, I will do it again right now but I doubt that the reason ^^
It stuck on "Amiibo Tag found" for more than an minute does it require more time?

here a tiny video that show software side.
My usb reader is connected into usb3.0 in the video but I did tried all my usb port.
I did tried three different usb cable also !
One from the package with n2 elite, one from steam controller, one from my dr dre headset
Both of cable seem in good condition as it work with all other stuff too and I really take care of them.
I also show that my files is not blocked, I did unlocked .rar before extracting so all files in come unlocked that what I show in first properties window.)
Also I do press right when it say Press and hold button


Unsure I was allowed to double post after a night if not pardon me it will be last time

'bout each N2 operation (unlock, change slot number, select active slot) is done by taping while pressing BUT you don't have to let the N2 onto the reader. I never use the official reader, i use an homemade one, or my phone.
But let's try this :
Start your app, scan your tag. Once done and the tag is found, remove your tag.
Select your action (here it will be unlock).
When it asks "Press and hold button", press the N2 button WHILE AWAY from the reader, keep it pressed and approach your tag to the reader.

Let me know if it works

nice information it will allow me to keep trying different method, right now it seem to show "Amiibo tag found!" at the end but still remain locked it seem ^^
I will try this method on different timing with all usb cable etc to see.

EDIT : can't you use the mobile app ? to check if it's the reader or the N2 that is faulty ?

I do not have android device with NFC it seem
(Wiko Rainbow Lite and Archos 40 Neon)
both show me No NFC support when I try to open app.

I have read that thread already I just do not like Ebay stuff and also I always fail to assemble things together.
If that person would sell premade things why not else I have to find another way ~
