Adrenaline v8.0.0 is alive!!!!

This is a big release, with new features, bug fixes, and more power to players and PSP homebrew developers alike.

It represents community effort, where Adrenaline and ARK developers joined forces to improve the status quo not only for our projects but for the entire PSP(emu) ecosystem.

Here are the changes what I believe most people will care about:

  • New graphical filters
  • PS1 per-title image overlay filters
  • Support for all ISO and Compressed ISO formats: ISO, CSO, CSOv2, JSO, ZSO and DAX
  • Improved PBP support (no longer needs plugins to launch official PBP)
  • Improved ISO drivers
  • Improved game compatibility
  • New plugin configuration format
    • One file to rule them all!
    • Support enabling/disabling plugins for specific title ID or binary paths. No longer you need to have a hard time with plugins for specific titles that breaks other titles and homebrew.
  • New GPU-rendered VSH Menu
  • CFW configuration and Plugin manager directly on the XMB
  • Support to select a path to use as PSP System Storage (a.k.a. `ef0:`. No longer you need to keep changing the Memory Stick path to access both of your drives
  • Read the documentation for some limitations

We have many other changes, perhabs more niche, but you can check the full changelog for those XD

Many improvements for the quality of life of homebrew developers as well.

Getting it ASAP. But last time I got an update (but IIRC it was unofficial or nightly) I had to redo the whole process of installing it.

Is it possible to just replace the previous version without a hassle?

Yes, for it you have to do a manual update.

You can also use the updater, download the `UPDATE.zip`, put the folder in the `???0:/pspemu/PSP/GAME` folder, open Adrenaline and launch it

What guide especifically? After updating to v8.0.X did you reboot the console?
The guide on the github for faster ark, yes though I was already on 8.0.1 of adrenaline sometime before ark V and faster ark were released.

I should also mention that the drm plug-ins were installed via dragging and dropping where they were supposed to be and upon using faster ark to install ark V, itd give me an error that, that plug in wasn't found, but after installing it via auto plug in II, it didn't give me that error.

Though I still couldn't boot up my psp games, however I can through the ARK V bubble and using epi CFW on adrenaline.
 
So you can't launch PBP (PSN) games which needs a plugin to work. EPI doesn't need a plugin for that to work.

My guess is that there is a issue on your plugins.txt file

I just took a look at it and im not certain what it could be as I've never really messed with this file before, but i'll provide it if you'd like to take a quick look at it.

Your biggest problem is that both the normal and the mod version of npdrm_free and nploader I recommend the mod version, delete the normal.

For the khbbs_remastered, I recommend to set it with a specific title ID of the version of kingdom hearts you have. In general, plugins for specific games should be enabled in title ID specific manner, how to do so is explained on the documentation site.

I'm pretty sure you don't need the nploader for PS1 games so I think you can remove the last line.

If after these changes you still face the same issue, please, report back, so I can investigate this better.

It still crashes, unfortunately. Nothing different happened, Same as last time
