After a few tries, I was able to decompress the N+ rar. But it gave me a folder. Inside the folder it gave me something " xpa-nplu.sfv ". Would it be ok if I used this?

Use it as what?

It's not a ROM. Anything else in the folder?

There is a " xpa-nplu.nfo " and a " xpa-nplu.rar " including with the one I mentioned above.

Unrar the rar then.

How would I go about that? Usually when I download a rom, the Unarchiver decompresses the rom automatically.

Just open it, and then drag and drop the contents somewhere else.

There's another rar within your archive. Extract the rar file from the archive and then open that in your unarchiver and extract the rom out of it.

Groan.

There's nothing more tragic than an incompetent pirate.

People that don't recognize the extensions .sfv .nfo apart from .rar should be laughed off the site.

People that can't comprehend a multi level compressed file should be laughed off the site.

Ok, after I have done that it gave me " xpa-nplu.nds ". Is this the rom? And how come it doesn't have the number? For example, 0005 - Wario Ware Touched.nds

games dont come in .zip anymore. that was years ago.
its about .rar now so if you cant even do the research yourself go play something else

and you can always rename it yourself lazy ass....

If you're having a hard time stealing a game, then I suggest you take it elsewhere. We are not a community who will aid you in downloading a pirated copy of the game. If you aren't knowledgeable in the very basics of file compression and file types, I suggest you get off your chair and buy the game, it may be much easier for you.

Why don't you just make your own dump from your retail cartridge? If you need help with that, there are numerous threads about it in the forums. If you have trouble along the way, ask a specific question and I'm sure someone here can help you out.

EDIT: BTW, this thread was great comic relief. I'm picturing a LOLcat with the phrase "Pirating, ur doin it rong"

agreed totally.....

God...someone should write a book entitled Pirating games for idiots and put the TC's comments as the cover page

.zip - decompress it using whatever program you want
.rar - decompress it using whatever program you want
.nfo - info about the game and the release group, open with notepad or similar
.sfv - checksum for the file, is used automatically by most decompressors
.nds - an NDS ROM, put it on your card to play it

And you should never have any trouble getting the ROM from the internet to your card.

You think that's bad? Go to Youtube and type "Get for free". Most of the time you'll get a video telling you how to pirate something.

Read the comments. Enough comedy gold to last for years.

A few I remember from last time I stumbled upon one of the videos via a Let's Play.

"What is an .iso?"
"How do I install it?"
"How do I open a .torrent file?"

Read those, then translate them into idiot for them to become even funnier.

Yes, that's the rom. And it has that name because that's what the group originally released it under, before it was given a number (and with their own group abbreviation appended to the abbreviation for the rom's name -- xpa is the group, nplu is for "N Plus".

The reason why you had a rar inside a rar was because the website that re-distributed the rom didn't want to repack the original group's release -- maybe this is deference to the original group, maybe it's just straightforward laziness.

Go ahead and rename it to whatever you want.

I know there was a fake dump going around for a while on a couple of sites where it was an invalid archive with nothing in it. It's a great game though, just as good on the DS as it is on the 360 and well worth the money, even if you do feel like chucking your DS at the wall sometimes.
