Hacking My usb hdd "sleeps" after 15 minutes

My usb hdd sleeps after 15 minutes of inactivity. While this normally doesn't happen, if I pause a game for 10-15 minutes, then it goes to sleep. The problem is that when this happens on pc, any app will wait till it wakes up and then carry on with its work. In USB Loader games, that's it. The game will no longer load and I have to restart the wii.

Is there a way to get the usbloader to recognize the drive after it wakes up? It seems that the sleeping thing is part of the drive's firmware, so I doubt that can be changed.

I'm using both Loader GX and Uloader.

i had this problem with my buffalo drivestation.
i installed cios rev 14 and i never had this problem again

I'm not sure if cios 14 fixes this, but after installing Hermes' cios 222 it ever happened to me

So try cios 14 and if it doesn't work install herme's ios

    I was cleaning out boxes in my basement in found bunch books from back in day when I was in computer classes, found a huge BASIC programming book, I took 2 years of it, but don't remb much now, other than 10 print "hi", 20 goto 10, run. Makes me wanna whip out my Commodore 64 n play.
