Hardware My r4i sdhc has problems

For the past two years, it was working perfectly fine. Later, I bought a 3ds XL and put the r4i sdhc in the cart. It didn't work for 3DS XL but it still work perfectly fine for the DSi.

I tried searching for a solution and updated through the website but still nothing happen. In the end I updated my R4i through my DSi and the results? Both my 3DS XL and DSi can't use it anymore.

I tried many things including updating through the website and cleaning the Kingsfinger but none of it works.

Please help!

If a firmware update bricked it then you'll need a DS/Lite (DSi/3DS WILL NOT WORK) and a second flash cart to fix it... but then if the firmware update didn't work it won't be updated anyways, so you might as well just buy a second flash cart and use that.
