Hey @Bl4ckH4nd it seems some users on other threads have had issues with the latest 2.0 version of the emulator breaking some packs. Was wondering if you noticed if any of your packs have broken as well?

I hunted down the discord conversations about it, seems to be related to the alpha channels needing to be set to 128. Not sure if that rings a bell for you, but wanted to keep you aware. Most of my packs come from you and I'd hate to update and then it's not functioning properly 😁

Oh dear, thanks for letting me know.

I don't actually use my own packs, once I'm done with a game, I don't play it again any time soon, I only do some tests on the packs then I'm done. Sad, since I can't enjoy them myself xD

If anyone can let me know which packs are causing issues, I can have a look at them :)

I'll add that one to my list :)

I'm just taking a short break from texture dumping as I got a bit burnt out. I'll be dropping around 40-ish Wii texture packs soon, didn't plan on it but I found a bunch of dumps on a harddrive that I completely forgot about, so I'm busy processing them all xD
No worries at all. I tried to do it myself today and am posting it on here but you'd do a better job.

All good if your busy or what not, but if you have some free time and are bored, could you possibly do a wave rave blue storm texture pack for the gamecube? To this day i dont think anyone has ever attempted let alone completed one for it, which is a shame since its an incredible gamecube legacy game, think its the only first party nintendo game on it that doesnt have a upscale pack done for it to this day (someone has done a ui pack but not the same thing as a full upscale). cheers, and have a good day

I understand how to apply textures in Flycast ( on RetroArch) and I also understand what settings I need to set, but just in case I would like to clarify, how can I find out the game id of the downloaded image?

I haven't used Retroarch in a while, I use standalone Flycast but if I recall, you go to the system folder of retroarch, there should be a dc folder in there (where you placed the bios) Create a folder named textures inside the dc folder and place the gameid folder inside the texture folder.

As for the ID of your game, best would be to Google Dreamcast gameid's.

I believe all my games are NTSC (US) region. Hope that helps :)

No problem, I'll add it to my list.

I'll do a sample run today to see how it dumps and upscales textures :)

In general, after I asked the question, I almost figured out many aspects, but while I’m waiting for an answer in other places, I’ll try to look again. It’s just interesting to know so that we can still understand what id :)

I dropped another 47 or so Wii texture packs, a friend helped me with the dumps.

I'll get back to my PS2 list as soon as I can :)

I didn't have time to test many of the packs so if any of them have issues, please let me know and I'll see what I can do ^^
Sorry I am still rather new here. Where exactly can I find the Wii texture packs?

Hi there, new to the forum. Forgive my ignorance, I've just got a Steamdeck and I'm looking to apply some HD textures to my PS2 games using PCSX2 through Retrodeck. Just to confirm, do these packs work fine with this emulator? Also, I'm from a European region. Will these packs work with my version of the game? I'm sure they have to match the region if im not mistaken?. Thank you in advance.

All of us were new at one point here so no worries welcome. As far as them working with pcsx2 yes but with recent updates some packs wont work 100% due to changes made by the team with transparency values in the textures. Some creators here were able to change or redo packs to make them work but its no guaranty. If this is the case try version 1.7.5553 or 1.7.5663. Also some packs made for pal may work with ntsc for instance only partially or not at all so best to try I suppose.
Have fun gaming and good luck Hoppy_93 :grog:

Thanks for the reply, bro. I appreciate it. Do you recommend me downloading the files for the games I have that are included in the pack on page 1? And if that doesn't work, then do (1.7.5553) or (1.7.5663) Also, are you basically saying I can just download either region's files and there's a possibility of it working, but no way to know unless I try it?

These are the games in my library, all PAL region as I said:

- Def Jam New York
- Gateway Black Monday
- The Godfather
- Manhunt 1/2
- Midnight Club Dub Edition Remix
- Need for Speed Carbon Collector's Edition
- Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2
- Need for Speed Most Wanted
- Need for Speed Underground 2
- Prince of Persia Sands of Time
- Ratchet and Clank
- Ratchet and Clank Size Matters
- Ratchet and Clank Locked and Reloaded
- Ratchet and Clank 3
- SSX
- SSX3
- SSX On Tour
- SSX Tricky
- Scarface The World is Yours
- The Simpsons Hit and Run
- The Warriors

No problem. In my case I've used packs for some games made for pal where only some textures worked for my ntsc games. I always like to try and experiment with them to see if they would apply but if you can ask the maker of the pack about this that would be best if you don't like to do some trial and error. I wish I could offer a better answer but I'm just another user myself B-). In regards to which version a lot of users and creators got frustrated with every few releases of the emulator seeming changing something and the packs not working so when using texture replacements go back to a older release like i mentioned. Some textures that would get replaced wouldn't show correctly such as wwe wrestling games having the wrestlers head or body be invisible or glitched.

Change the texture folder's name to match the ID of your game. It works in most case.

If any of the packs you get from my repo do weird things (like big black blocks, or weird colours) please let me know :)

Ok bro, I will try this soon and keep you posted. I'm gonna try and mix your packs in with some of the other creators' packs for games you don't have in yours that I own. I've heard about the ID change thing from somewhere else. What folder exactly is it? Just the textures folder in Retrodeck, or do I create new folders for each game inside the main textures folder? For example, name the folder "manhunt.chd" the same title on .chd file in the PCSX2 games folder? Forgive me if that sounds dumb haha, I'm new to all this and it confuses me a bit. I appreciate the reply as well.

So when you download a pack, the folder will be the game's ID.
NFS Underground's ID is SLUS-20811 and that's for the NTSC version so you will change it to the PAL ID, which is SLES-51967.

You put that SLUS or SLES folder inside PCSX2's textures folder, then just go to Settings -> Graphics -> Texture Replacement and then enable Load Textures and Asynchronous Texture Loading.

If you just change the folder name to match the PAL region, it should work fine :)
