yes, I do unplug my pc afterall it is a 2nd pc and I only use it to download stuff and I haven't been downloading much recently so I just unplug it after I use it.

Also, it saves on energy consumption. Almost everything I have is connected to a power-bar (no, not the food) (with on/off switch and surge protection). Phantom Load, people. It eats pennies!

Yeeeah, the other day I turned off my computer and the fan was still running...
Was really annoying too, I was trying to sleep.
Had to unplug it in the end :\

Could just be a bad capacitor that exploded or a short with the CMOS battery....but I highly doubt that since those don't contain THAT much electricity anyways.

The only thing that was fucked up was the PSU and the motherboard.

I have no idea m8, I haven't got the pc back yet. I was awoken this morning by a phone call from my friend saying he fixed it and what was wrong.
