Vista is worse than XP, but not enough so that it has any significant impact on the Windows vs Linux choice.

I really doubt that. My computer 2GB + 3GHz Dual core runs vista ultimate perfectly fine. I don't see why people think you need a super computer to run vista. This computer I'm using was bought for £250 (i think) and like i said vista is perfect on it. Running firefox, mIRC, nod32 and photoshop it still isn't slow

Vista is good if you have a fast enough computer to run it. But, it still has many bugs, WTF moments, and is slower than XP
