Well, after seeing how the creator is making the button layout i thought to myself,
"That seems kind of unnessesary"
my idea was the because of how the N64 controller is held, the 2 different ways (D-Pad+A,B,L,R&C buttons, Control Stick+A,B,C
,L,R,Z), my idea was that on boot of a game, and when the select/home button is pushed to bring up the menu, you can change the way the controller is being held.
Controller mode 1 (D-Pad)
D-Pad=D-Pad
A=X
B=O
L=L
R=R
C Buttons-=Control Stick
Controller Mode 2 (Control Stick)
Control Stick=Control Stick
A=X
B=O
Z=[]/ /\
L=L
R=R
C Buttons=D-Pad
Of course, there should also be a custom controller layout where the user can set the buttons for their preference.
so what do you think of my idea? I think its pretty good. what's your opinion?
