Hacking My friends 3DS won't boot up with his SD card...help.

He has an original model 3ds. I know this microSD with adaptor works in this because I tried it yesterday. But today I tried booting it and the blue light comes on for a second and then just shuts off. It boots fine without the SD card though. I made sure I got the newest version of Luma and moved the boot.3dsx and boot.firm to the root but it's still not booting. What could the problem be?

had the card itself been formatted to fat32 32kb clusters? Thats ususally the big one with this issue.

I did format it to fat32 but I think I tried to do that as an additional measure to see if that would fix the problem. I tried putting the SD card into the 3DS while it was on, it worked, but when I noticed when I looked at his games no preview showed on the top screen. When I try to boot the game this just shows up:

It's frustrating because before I was having a similar problem trying to install CIA's to this 3DS and now this.


EDIT: When I reformat it what does it need to be? I just used windows quick formatter to fat32 and moved stuff from his 4gb card to his 32gb. And it at least booted yesterday..

EDIT 2: what should the KB kluster size be?

EDIT 3: setting the KB cluster size to default fixed it. Please lock this topic lol.

Hold Select when turning on without the SD card to go into Luma settings and see what version you are running. Probably you have an older version of Luma, so if 7.0.5 or below follow this guide: https://3ds.hacks.guide/a9lh-to-b9s.html
