<b>Appearance:</b>

Just like the packaging, the Edge has a unique card design, which looks rather nice and good. After some research I found that the EDGE came in 1 colour: black.

The card looks VERY sturdy, and that's because it IS very sturdy. Though like all cards, it is made of plastic, but it didn't give in to my bending and pressing and such. It was overall very sturdy. The card went almost snuggly into my ds, with no need for slight pressing. If you notice though, when running your finger across the front of the card, you feel a slight bump just half a millimeter or so, which doesn't really effect insertion into the ds.

Unfortunately, there were reports of early batches of EDGE cards had problems fitting the microsd in flush, though I'm happy to say that mine didn't have that problem and it was probobly only happening with early batches of the card.

<b>setup:</b>





downloading the files needed to run the EDGE are very simple, <a href="http://www.edge-ds.cn/?lang=en" target="_blank">go to the edge website</a> and download the latest O.s., which is all you need. Copy all the files you downloaded to the root of the microsd card. You're now all set to go!



<b>GUI</b>



You will see a booting menu upon starting up your ds. When loaded, you will get 3 icons:

"Games / Homebrew", which takes you to games on the EDGE.
"Media", which boots moonshell.nds to play music and movies!
"Settings / Misc", to custumize settings and start PassMe mode (slot2 mode)

I will mostly be talking about the games/homebrew for the review <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />



When opening a games folder the game's icon will be next to the game nameand publisher. File view will display the game's icon next to the file's name and size.

Personally, I love the EDGE menu, which is the best part about the EDGE. It's very responsive, and can be completely used with just the touchscreen of the ds.

EDGE is an excellent card and is a great choice for a flashcard. To bad it doesn't have extra features like Real time save, and such. But if you don't want features like the cyclods/sc ds one, and want to get a good quality flashcard for a good prize, get the EDGE.

I think the EDGE is similar to the CycloDS, does EDGE use lots of battery power like the CycloDS and N5?

I have an EDGE, but I use a DSTT instead, because is seems to use less power.
I am concerned with the reported DS fuse burnout issue of the N5. Does this affect EDGE? or CycloDS?

DSTT, EDGE and SCDS1 seem to me like the safest choices right now.
I will not buy another card with the crappy little plastic clips!

EDGE is slightly better than DSTT, due to the better GUI. Haven't heard any battery problems with it.

pokemongalaxy, as I've said before, you really should learn to use macro when taking up-close pictures. Those blurry pictures kinda ruined your review totally.

You still seems to have problems with starting sentences with a capital letters, and you also have some grammatical errors in the review.

Yes I do think so, you don´t have to patch games. And you can use MicroSd up to 32 GB. I have two Edge cards, and I am very happy with them.
