I've been having multiple issues with my 3DS, which have plagued me to the point where it's a struggle to resist the urge to hurl it into the hardest and most dense surface I can find.

The wonderful folks around here have essentially narrowed it down to the fact that for some reason, despite restoring a clean NAND image after downgrading to 2.1 for OTP retrieval and only upgrading the sysNAND one time in its whole life using a cartridge (9.0 to 11.0 for pokemanz) I have ended up with an absolute mess of a frankenFIRM.

How that is even possible, I will never know. Suffice it to say, my 3DS is completely and utterly fucked in every conceivable way. I can't update via the settings menu to 11.2 for online play. I can't use the homebrew launcher, I can't update it with sysUpdater, the list goes on and on.

I've had enough of the head-fuck that is trying to fix this thing without having to wipe everything and start from scratch and I'm biting the bullet.

What I need to know is how to achieve this without losing all my data. Obviously I back up SD card contents but Im concerned about losing my save data for my CIAs. Somebody mentioned in my other threads something about a moveable.sed file that can allow me to retain my SD contents on the fresh formatted system.

Please advise me on a course of action. I'd really not like to dump 50+ games save data individually or reinstall all those CIAs.

Thanks for reading.

I told you:

1) Create an EmuNAND, un-link it from SysNAND
2) Perform CTRTRANSFER on EmuNAND
3) Try and update EmuNAND to 11.2
4) Follow this guide to transfer content from SysNAND to EmuNAND:
https://gbatemp.net/threads/tutorial-manual-system-transfer-for-saves-content.388033/
5) Test to make sure all content is present
6) Dump EmuNAND and inject to SysNAND using Hourglass9

Profit
