Homebrew My 3ds act weird

I was not using my 3ds for a long time ago and when I have open it, I got total black screen, no light nothing, just the blue indicator for telling me it's open have try multiple time to open it with and without sd card, anyway I don't have panick and have update b9s, luma, godmod and also remove my r4 from my 3ds and have restart my 3ds, all work fine, but my r4 is not detected, I have remove it and reput it a lot of time but my 3ds don't want to detect it anymore, my 3ds also loose sound for a moment and the 3ds crash

I don't know if it's the r4 the problem or something else and don't know how I can play with my r4 again on my 3ds ( it work fine on my dsi xl)

R4 flashcart Time Bomb (for certain models).

• what is a flashcard time bomb and how do i stop it?

Dirty game cart slot reader.

• (1) Clean with canned air sprayer, or (2) 91% rubbing alcohol with q-tip and low heat + fan speed blow driver.
• Remove the battery to prevent shorting.

Broken game cart slot reader.

• Try launching or play another 3DS or DS game/flash cart. If it doesn't work, your reader needs to be replaced.
• Search for parts at eBay and aliexpress.

That would be a litmus test in determining if the DS mode is broken.

Which model R4 flashcart? What's the manufacturer's website? Take a front cover picture of the cart you have.
Time bomb is triggered by system date, so it can work on the DSi but not on the 3DS.

Older model DS flashcarts blocked by Nintendo 3DS whitelist.

• NTR Launcher - Bring back that classic DS boot screen for your DS games!
• R4 Stage2 TWL Flashcart Launcher(and perhaps other cards soon™)....

Have you tried putting in another DS game cart in the slot reader?
That would be a litmus test in determining if the DS mode is broken.

Which model R4 flashcart? What's the manufacturer's website? Take a front cover picture of the cart you have.

yes I have put a ds and a 3ds game card on my 3ds and it's work but not with the r4
I have the R4 i rts 3ds from r4ids.cn , the date is the same on my dsi and my 3ds, it's not working on my 3ds but in my dsi xl it's working

it's exactly this one

I can't provide picture now because i'm a bit busy but it's exactly this card with no difference

I don't specialy know, I'm on 11.8 and was able to play with my r4 before, I don't have do update on my 3ds, the updates I have do is for luma godmod and b9s (1.2 to 1.3) so I don't think it's the whitelist thing

Corrupt HOME Menu icon extdata.

• Fuzzy Icon on R4iGold 3DS RTS
• Maybe yours is so corrupt, it crashes the 3DS the moment you see or launch the R4i flashcart.
  
• Clear Home Menu extdata
