what is the best free music file editor because i was thinking about remixing/changing a few songs...? and is there a program that has a voice filter thing that will make the singer's voice sound a little like (for those of you who like rock music) the beginning of fake it by seether?

I have no idea what you mean but i used to use audacity and my mate who goes to to the best music college in the UK (ACM...THEY HAD FLEA FROM THE CHILLIES THERE!) he recorded his first few eps with krystal and a usb mic...guitar and everything. He managed to get a better sound out of that than the music tech at school at the time could and they had proper inputs and mixing software.

Tl;dr give audacity or krystal a try.

Plus you need plug-ins, sample packs, decent enough hardware, etc,...
