Hacking Multiman freezing

ok I installed Multiman 1.16.07 FULL (BDEMU.BIN Included)

I have the vendor and product number of my external hard drive 0x067b:0x2506:1 it is saved in the root of my USB drive as USB.CFG

I installed awesome file manager and I used it to copy USB.CFG to dev_hdd0/game/BLES80608/USRDIR

now when I go back to multiman it only shows the hard drive of the PS3 and the USB drive. I then press start+triangle and the screen freezes.

I read in many forums that people have this problem but I couldn't find a fix.

Be sure, that the ntfs partition on your device is the primary partition.

I have a 40gb external hard drive, it has no partitions and I have it set as primary and active.

I'm 100% sure I have set the vendor and procudt ID right

0x067b:0x2506:1

and I have it saved as USB.CFG

I'm also sure I copied the file from the usb to dev_hdd0/game/BLES80608/USRDIR

EDIT: I'm going to try ps3splitter with multiman and see if it works that way, I would try ftp but I'm not sure if connecting the ethernet cable to my ps3 would be safe.

I still would like a solution for NTFS
