lol, of course everything will be software based, what we are yet to see is how GW's version of multirom works. Gateway lost their chance when they decided not to release a teaser video for multirom and card2 games support, now some people are speculating about GW copying features of this cart.

MT-card team tried to hide the name and address on their picture using some flashcarts?
It took me a minute to find real name/address/phone number/job of the person mentioned on it. It wasn't really hidden.

It's not very professional to display client's coordinates on their website's portal.

It will probably use software-based multirom support, and leave their hardware as it is, by that proving MT-card has got some original ideas. Although "FULLY updatable" can mean two things, I don't think they will let us add a USB port and a button.

It means updating the internal firmware inside the red card, probably needs the info for filesystem etc as atm its just reading an image as a retail cart, probably put something on the sd and have a new option in gui to update it, button isnt a deal breaker, could easy just implement button combos to hotswap games

Yes, that's how they will probably do it. But I'd rather have a simple button than having to remember and put in a certain combination of buttons, I even doubt something like that is possible. If all the features of this card (multirom w/ button, usb port, saving, nand saving, save editor) turn out to be real then it isn't a gateway clone, and I'll gladly buy it.

Maybe, but still I don't know how they could program that in. And by not being a clone, I mean, it has features gateway didn't talk about, would work on after 2.0 is done, or will implement in a completely different way. However the firmware is apparently half-stolen.

So, Gateway posts an update to their website saying they will release their new firmware soon, and list nearly all the features mt-card has promised us. The next day (today), mt-card says their product will be available tomorrow, but that it will get the features gateway doesn't have in 2.0 "soon via USB upgrade".

Because when people have an MT-card and the firmware is not released, it pretty much makes the entire card useless.

Who said it won't come w/ a fw?
They're just stating that they'll update the FPGA later through the USB port to add features.
