Homebrew MSET exploitation development question

(Keep in mind at least 4 posts flew by at the time of writing, so I may be late to some stuff.)

They can install a browser via a .cia using MSET.

Pretty sure they meant no internet access, at least that's what I'd imply (And obviously Nintendo would release a 9.x console with the internet browser, lol.. [In reply to your newer post]). Also, people shouldn't really take it as a "priority", just something that has people wanting it to happen or are at least anxious for, so that if it did happen, it would 'make those people happy', if you get what I'm saying lol. But I get what you mean, it's just that we'd love to have a more reliable exploit that we can launch easily with the simple cia install (MSET) + a few files on an SD card, just for convenience, and for free. (Meaning no need to download CN just to use it for an exploit and not be able to use the game itself, in the long run) ~My little 'rough' explanation of why I want it.

Regarding Cia Installation, for rxTools at least-- It's just better to have a GW card so that you could use it's emuNAND, install devmenu, FBI, and other stuff, and then use rxTools to use the emuNAND and do whatever (theme installs, game installs, etc.). Without it, it's just a pain in the butt to set up the injection method on emuNAND or what have you.

(Edit: Oh, and does it look like everyone on the planet can code? Think about that. @MRJPGames ~ This is why we're bringing it to attention, we can't make it (I can't speak for the people who want it that can actually code, it comes down to how skilled people are, but that's if they do at all) and we're just saying we're interested, and could use it.)

Yeah but it is free XD, and this is still just wanting it not needing it. I still believe it's useless as all hell and any dev capable of this kind of thing should probably be working on a free exploit for 10.3 not this bullshit.

Just to clarify, at no point did i ever say i could code, or develop anything on my own, you seem to think you are in some sort of debate contest and this is not the case

I said it's more likely for you to LEARN to code and develop it then that anyone will do it for you I did not say you could code, as many things you've said so far show that you do not understand the inner workings of the 3DS. (which is not needed to use the 3DS but is at least a little needed if you come with a idea.)

edit: I also edited the post where I said I'm out, and I don't think it even matters that I said that clearly I was still in XD

I am glad you are back "in" and no longer "out" as previously stated, your input so far has been greatly appreciated, it is always interesting to read the perspective from the other side (those that can do things)

Ok and when that person comes could they please also make a legit cia that boots the HBL from home menu, that would really make my 7 minutes you know, I would love for that to happen and I bet it's not too much work right?

I think that was probably a little tongue in cheek, perhaps wanting the final word, seeing are your now back "in"

Please allow us to have our discussion without feeling the need to add your reasons why we should not have it, as you can see for yourself people do want this

I would agree with you that it is certainly not a priority in the eyes of any developers, but at the same time who is to say that that somebody who reads this may already have a solution or have come across this in trying to make previous exploits

Still anyone who has MSET has ARM9 which means they can literally pirate Cubic Ninja if they wanted to, there is still 0 need for this, all people listed as wanting this just haven't found out that there are already (better) ways of achieving what they want without a dev spending tons of time to achieve something the target adience can already achieve (even if it is slightly less convenient that's not enough to make a dev do that much work)

Not possible without some way to install it as you cannot get an installer installed on a N3DS without HBL, Devmode is not working for N3DS users in rxTools to inject FBI to H&S and the 2 other ways to install FBI would be Decrypt9 (requiring HBL) and FBI.3dsx (requiring HBL)

Giving my 5 cents here... HBL is not the only way to run Decrypt9. You can run Decrypt9 via CakeHax and the NDS MSET rop, all the files are there in every (recent) release archive. So, if you have MSET, you can use it to run Decrypt9, to inject FBI and go on from there.

Other than that, sure, another HBL entrypoint would be nice. I'm - as I stated before - still unsure about what MSET is capable of, though. If anyone could code that entrypoint, it would be smealum or yellows8, but I think it is unlikely they will do that now.

Also, sorry if I missed something that has already been solved, but that thread is already pretty long .

as you rightly say only smealum & yellows8 could make this happen and they have far more important things on their plates

unless someone else comes out of the blue to do this then i guess it will never happen
