@MRJPGames

Again, thank you for your opinion, so it is fair to say that this would be of no interest to you, therefore that it is your right and perhaps no longer the thread for you

Just to clarify, i don't think it would be an easy job and i never said it would, i was simply asking if it could be done and would anyone be prepared to do it

You are clearly not interested in this, but clearly others are, so allow us to to be interested, you have made your points and i accept them all, but please accept mine also, it seems i am not the only person who would like to see it :)

@Buttsnake Don't be a grammar nazi :p
It's not that easy AFAIK because the mset exploit crashes part of the system that ctrulib needs to work correctly. smea et al are not going to make it happen either because it would only be usable for people with downgraded mset on 9.0-9.2 meaning they have used some sort of CFW to downgrade mset which = piracy in their eyes. And the few hackers that are not against piracy are all busy working on rxTools and similar, and those hackers may not be skilled enough to make it happen anyway.

Chances browserhax or menuhax will be blocked on 9.0-9.2 firmwares are slim to none as the browser disabling "feature" wasn't added until 9.9 so Nintendo have no way to retroactively disable the browser on those firmwares as those firmwares were made before the browser exploit was even discovered, they couldn't have thought that far ahead.

Cubic Ninja - Yes, but people don't always have the money for the inflated price now
Ironfall - No, it is patched now so no exploit

That's why I said a good Ironfall. I was able to find a copy no problem.
Of course I mean cia install. With Ironfall, its already a free game.

The problem is, MSET is opening in sysNAND, the old version of Ironfall would be installed in a cfw not sysNAND

So? CFW runs fine in sysnand. I don't even have an emunand, if that's what you mean? But I get why you want to load it directly from MSET. I wondered this myself.

Actually I don't think MSET even works in 9.0-9.2 anyway unless you downgraded your system settings app, doesn't it?
So even for 9.0-9.2 sysnand users who don't have a browser, this wouldn't really help because they wouldn't be able to install the exploit anyway.
That, and I guess if you were able to install the MSET exploit, then you'd be able to install a CFW which in turn would let you install a .cia of the browser, giving you a functioning one.

(That and it would still require a DS mode flashcard for installing the MSET exploit, so it's kinda like requiring you to have OoT or CN, except requiring you to have a DS flashcard. :p)

10 mins later ......."Great well i will register your interest in lazer butt crack hair removal"......huh wait WTF......"bye you will hear from us soon".....FUUUUUUUU what have i done :blink:

PS, yeah it *might* be handy in some far out extreme scenario , but given the plethora of viable alternatives i certainly wouldn't be upset if it never happens

@gamesquest1 You are a member i respect and have seen over the years on more than one site, do you have any thoughts on if the original idea would be possible ?

That is to develop a method of using MSET to run HBL

I would value your opinion on this if you get a moment, thanks

What do you mean when you say you found a copy of "a good Ironfall"?
Are you saying you found a CIA you can install into sysNAND and it will allow you to launch Ironhax?
