the disc will show with any modchip mate

are you sure you have a Wiikey?

you could remove preloader for the moment by installing a .wad of your system menu and then try again, if this works you could always just use StartPatch for your hacks in the mean time.

Is anyone else having trouble using debug_network? 0.75 seems to be ignoring it in my mplayer.conf.

My requests:

1: Better GUI (look at DragonMedia Player)
2: Continous playback (I go to a folder names music, I hit song1.mp3, it starts playing and when done it starts playing the next song in this case song2.mp3 automatically. Settings for random, repeat, etc. would be nice)

of course theyve been working on this just read some pages of this thread man

gimme gimme gimme

when it finally comes out, everyone but you should get it!
because you obviously dont deserve it

aha

love what you have man.

I've been skimming through some pages but haven't been able to find anything on it. When you goto the YouTube or Shoutcast Video streaming section, is there a setting to change so it doesn't automatically load a file, thus quicker selecting. I love browsing the YouTube and Shoutcast stuff, I just hate having to wait forever for it to initally buffer and stream whatever is first on the list.

If not, it's only minor and I love this for playing back my DivX's off of my laptop and i got my SMB sharing right the first time!!! w00t!

Since I've used MPCE religiously for many months now (kids shows on-demand, ftw,) I'm really looking forward to seeing the overhaul coming. My big question is.. the same as everyone else.. is there an ETA on beta/1.0 status? Weeks, months..? I read about 20 pages back and didn't notice any hint.

Anywho, keep up the good work! -ciao

I was just asking for these features and I have given my thanks for this great program.

No kidding... I'm not rushing anyone, I would just like an ETA. I use MPlayer more than any other app or game on my Wii and the thought of MPlayer with a GUI makes my no-no spots tingle!

I'd just like a date to check back.

I got problem :/
I have chiped Wii with wiikey and 3.2 E firmware.
HC and aplications worked fine (Mplayer as well) until I install new bootmii(newest hackmii+dvdx+HC) and cIOS36 rev10 (for WiiFlow).
Now Mplayer not booting but bootmii do!WTF?
I tried to delate bootmii form SD or put the plain SD with MPlayer -nothing happend just drive light flashing and waiting for bootmii.
Does anybody had same problem? Did I need to install another cIOS?
Rest of aplications works fine.

Now that wiiflow source has been released, it will be sick if they used it as the gui. If possible grab cover art and synopsis from IMDb like media jukebox

the mplayer ce team is looking for a good designer for the new gui. anybody who wants to give it a try.

We're looking for an artist to help design a new GUI for MPlayer. The general layout (and features) has already been determined. We're looking for someone to refine that layout and put some high-quality, polished artwork to it. The artist must be capable of producing something at the level of quality of the XMBC themes Aeon and Rapier.
If you believe that you would have the time and skill to work on this, please respond in this thread: Here or log onto IRC: irc://irc.efnet.net/mplayer_ce-gui

So after using Mplayer CE for some days now, testing it with all sort of files I've come to the conclusion that it has some serious problems with the MKV container. If I play an anime for example, wich uses the x264 codec, mkv container and has a resolution bigger than 640x??? that it will stutter or not play. Well the sound plays but the picture freezes. If the file is x264 with mp4 container it works fine even with resolutins up to 720x???. And with DivX files I had also no problems. I downloaded Transformers 2 BRRip with DivX codec, AC3, the file is 2,2 GB big and has a resolution of 720x304 and a total data transfer of 2012 kBits/sec, it plays smoothly and looks nice. What experiences did you have with your videos? Has anybody else problems with mkv files?

you have answered you're own questions there, it will never play HD http://code.google.com/p/mplayer-ce/wiki/h264

I already know that, but I'm not talking about HD-Videos. I'm talking about a problem with the MKV container. As I already said, H264 is working perfectly with the MPEG-4 container, but not with MKV. So the problem should be the MKV container not the h264 codec. H264 Videos with MKV container cannot be played with a resolution higher than 640x??? pixel, MP4 works fine even in 720x??? pixel. So my guess is that the problem is the container, but I would like to hear it from a programmer.

Anyone know how to navigate a DVD Menu with this? I can't select any of the options to play in the dvd, so I end up only watching the first part of the dvd and can never select the second part.

From console to Aeon, that's a really big goal. How many years do you want to spend? This looks like the step from DOS to 7
