It would be nice for the loop.avi to not stutter while playing mp3s, but they still play fine. If its possible, are there any plans to actually display current audio track info while playing mp3s? (Artist, song title, etc.)
check the TODO list on the google code wiki page

Yes please! Fonts are now too small for me. I guess I can check the config files and see if I can find the right setting.

so do i need to move the config file to root? or leave it in the ce folder like it originally is? and if i move it to root does this affect the other versions?

Everything has to be in the mplayer_ce folder otherwise it will not boot!

For Fonts, I guess you haven't read the wiki's on how to edit configs, customising and fonts etc.....
There is also a link where to download other fonts, size 22 is by far the best...
Suit it to you

Grrr... The DivX codec isn't properly implemented; all the colors are screwed up.
What do you expect for something thats "work in progress" No need for comments like that.
Bug reporting yes, but not attitude like that, it's why many developers just move off this scene.

Is there a certain portion of the font.desc or raw files that have to be changed just to change the font size of the subtitle font and not of the menu OSD? I tried just changing 0.21Cs cp1250 encoding with the one that came with 0.2, but I get no display. I wonder if I just have to leave that one alone and change OSD regular font settings.

unsure, that's a MPlayer question, so I can't answer about that just yet. Try reading up on it.

I'm going nuts with this Samba problem. I've tried everything I can. I've even plugged the wireless laptop into a cable to see if that's the problem. No dice.

I'll post my smb.conf and see if you guys can tell me anything. The 105 machine is WinXP Pro and the 137 machine is the laptop on WinXP Home.

The first two shares work just fine. The third one I can't get for the life of me.

Any ideas??

PLEASE?!

#Samba share1 (smb1:/)
ip1=192.168.1.105
share1="storage1 (d)"
user1=
pass1=

#Samba share2 (smb2:/)
ip2=192.168.1.105
share2="storage2 (e)"
user2=
pass2=

#Samba share3 (smb3:/)
ip3=192.168.1.137
share3=mp3
user3=
pass3=

For those not having much luck with the samba problem...

I couldn't get mine working either, but eventually did by setting the NT Access rights on the shared folder to allow "Everyone" read and execute access.

This worked for me both in Windows Vista and Windows 7.

Right-click folder, then pick "Security", "Advanced", "Change Permissions", "Add", "Advanced", "Find now", then pick "Everyone", then give read permissions.

It helped me, hopefully it'll help those having problems!

Cheers

I'm having trouble with samba playback of divx files: They always hang after about 5 minutes and restart from the beginning. Is this the point at which the buffer runs out or something? No problem with my WiFi signal strength or quality.

It seems that adding the user to the third SMB share entry did it. It's REALLY slow to access it, and buggy as crap but at least it's getting there now.

When I access it and play a file it will just sit there at the file list, won't display the OSD and I can't go back from there at all.

But at least I can access it

make sure your wifi connection is good, otherwise don't attempt using SMB, what files were you trying to load, it's only mainly Large HD ones that are causing the problems, and some other video formats.

It's finaly done!!! A complete set for MPlayer-CE:

Homebrewchannel:

Loop.avi:

Banner:

Channel 1:

Channel 2:

Notes:

-Channel is V0.21, Title-ID is MPCE, Blocks 51
-WADder compressed the Images a little bit too much, so it looks a little worser than here...
-loop.avi gives me a weird menuscreen, so I don't work...

Feel free to use this Images to make a working loop.avi, or a HQ-Channel

. Use as much as you want, but give Credit!!!

Download

This is an awesome channel, but i have a question:
is this a forwarder channel so that when I update the mplayer_ce on the sd card, I don't have to update this channel?

Thank you so much UranusKiller, and AgentX, and the rest of the devs working on this. I love it.

Keep up the great work.

They're just directories full of MP3s. There's a lot of them in there though.

And for as long as I've had wifi I've get to find a good resource for optimizing the router/adapter for maximum performance. Know of any tips/tricks? PM me (so as not to hijack the thread)
