Hold on, you mean that it can play both video files AND video dvds?
That they merged MPlayerWii and MplayerDvdLib into a single app?
Gotta test this masterpiece... quite boring to use different hombrews just to play my movies.

That they merged MPlayerWii and MplayerDvdLib into a single app? I think so. when you enter the dvd tab i give you the some options like the first MPlayer with dvdlib.

I'm also more than happy that both apps got merged but honestly, Data disc playback is worse than it was on the seperate app and even on that it was crappy. Seroiusly, can we get data disc with folder support and why is it that flv files dont work anymore?

For Vista 64 bit (assuming it applies to 32 bit as well),

I found that I had to set a password before SMB would work.

The no password and "0" set in config didn't work for me.

Forgive me if this is an obvious answer, but what is the format for multiple shared folders in smb.conf? Repeat the IP/user for each or just create more "share" lines?

Thanks!

Weird... It seems to crash when trying to play files from the USB memory. Works fine in the Mplayer Wii non-twiizer edition. DVDs work fine, haven't tested SD card as I wouldn't use that in any case.

Crap. I just got my hopes up.

hmm what's wrong with it? works perfectly for me, folders are a bugger on data dvd's yeah, i don't use folders on any data discs.

Yeah this plays both dvd original video files and data dvd's

USB bug?

like iv'e said before, insert USB before powering MPLayerCE then browse USb, does it show, or just show SD?
some USB's are not supported still will work no that...can you put questions in the google code page please, makes things easier, or in the apps section?

From the guy who asked about SMB.......
yeah we can only use 1 share for now

i need more shares aswell similar to MPlayerWii, hopefully soon MPlayerCE can support it.

Nothing like that ever worked for me.

Ok, i've just installed it and gonna test it soon with movies:
- in avi format located on sd/usb/samba and dvds.
- in native dvd format with a retail dvd.

Might give it a shot with .flv and .mkv too.

Yup, works great also here (with and without Folders). The only thing that could be better would be to display the names correct (Shows ex. AMY_MACD instead of Amy Macdonald). But the rest in DVD-Mode works great

glad to hear that, erm yeah file names are in the works, would be nice if the file name moves across so we see the rest of it, or lower the in menu size.
