I want to get an mp3/portable media player however I am having some trouble finding info on ones that are open source (for emulators willing to jailbreak) and as I refuse to use itunes an ipod is not an option.
Can anyone please suggest one that has the above features.

You're out of luck if you don't want to use iTunes.
