Hardware Moving from New 3DS XL to New 2DS XL

Hello all,

I think I’m going to switch out my New 3DS XL (B9S/Luma) to a New 2DS XL, but I have some questions before I do.

My preference would be to start fresh with the New 2DS XL (install B9S->Luma->everything else) but unless ntrboothax is released soon I’ll probably end up going with DSiWare Game Injection List method (as it’s the only other method available to me). So in order to get my “fresh” start with the New 2DS XL I was thinking this is the best path:

1. Format New 3DS XL (I’m assuming it doesn’t interfere with the existing B9S/Luma)
2. Log back in with NNID
3. Download one of the games on the list for the DSiWare Game

At that point, when it does the system transfer to the New 2DS XL it will have minimal stuff installed, correct?

Any other words of wisdom is appreciated.

don't know how it is with system transfer from N3DSXL to N2DSXL, but if it is possible, your steps should work.

Are there any saves or anything. such as possibly street pass plaza or the such, that you are going to want to keep before formatting your 3ds system. If ya do, you will want a save manager to hold onto what you want.
