Just wondering if I upgrade my sd card as well as modded console. 256 gb> 512 and regular switch > oled. Will an emummc back up/restore method still work? I know the partitions are bigger on oled mods.

Is it even possible due to the different Emmc.. I just want to have my games backed up to the new modded console

Nope, you going have to reinstall all your games.
As well as restart them all? Is there a way to extract the save data

If both consoles are modded, you can just export all your save games and then import them on the oled again.
There are homebrew apps like Checkpoint but tinfoil and goldleaf can also export all that save game data.
Afaik, there are a few exceptions like Minecraft which store their game data with the game.

would this be possible if I no longer have access to the console.. but only the sd card data?

No, because you need to mount the console filesystem to extract these files.

Unless there is some tool that allows you to do this on PC (which I am not aware of), you are out of luck.

If it is encrypted then no, you can try to extract save if you have a copy of backup of the emummc nand.
I think i do actually. Theres a folder on my sd card called emuMMC/RAW1/Nintendo/save. Could I just copy and paste this /save/ folder over? There is also a emuMMC/RAW1/Nintendo/contents folder which i'm assuming are my games. Could I also just move this file over?

For file decryption, I have my prod.keys and my nand files, could I just go into nxnandmanager and decrypt the save files?

It's also weird because i'm pretty sure I partition based rather then file based. But I did do an EMUMMC complete backup, so I'm assuming that populated the emummc file on my SD card.

Hopefully this can help you.
Yeah just to update. THIS WORKED.

If you have your original prod.keys and emummc backup (raw). Then you can get this to work.

If you, like me, have split rawfiles from your backup. You need to compile the 15 rawnand.bin.00,rawnand.bin.01 e.t.c together to get a single rawnand.bin to make it work in NXMANAGER.
