Gaming Most Difficult DS game?

Contra 4.. took me some time to finish it on Easy.. now I can't pass level 2 on Normal..

still.. it's a great game.

I forgot to mention Final Fantasy Fables Chocobo Tales. Very similar to Bomberman touch. Only the requirements are much meaner. Plus you have to play a lot of the mini games like, 8 frickin times to get everything. And guess what? they get harder each time! I am currently making myself play this again. I figured, If I beat Bomberman touch again, I could beat chocobo again. Bizarrely enough, this will be my third time playing through it. Considering I hate it so much, I've sure played it a lot. A plan to post a Sav file so people don't have to suffer through story mode to play card duels on Wi-fi

And fortunately, (unlike bomberman touch) the game does NOT reward you by saying "Feeling brave? Now try hard mode!"
I swear, I really hate games that do that. You mean I wasn't already playing hard mode?

Contra 4 was...Contra... memorize the guys on the first pass through beat it on the second pass through on hard..died a couple times being stupid but it was really no harder then any of the other Contra's. I liked it for the nostalgia factor, I got all warm and fuzzy feeling playing it. Could almost here my friends yelling at me to hurry up and die, and give them a turn.

For me Trauma Center is really evil, as in makes me want to throw my DS sometimes. Still not finished this one and I've been playing if for 3 months gaah!

But the most frustrating game I've played....Lost in Blue

Dementium: The Ward, due to it's broken save system.

I haven't tried Contra 4 yet (will try right now, actually, just finished DLing

), but taking in account most community members, I'd say it's pretty hard (you state it yourself).

Tell me about it, I gave up on dementium cos the first boss was hard and everytime he killed me I had to start at the beginning of the chapter, pure frustration

Dementium wasn't too hard, at least not after you get the saw.

I love that buzz-saw! If the game were like Orcs n Elves, Buzz-saw would show up as my favourite weapon!

Remember: Everything in the game can either be sawed or run from. I even used the saw on the last boss as i danced circles around him

Contra 4 - typical old-school memorize-to-survive game
Etrian Odissey - frustrating at many times
Magnetica - Some of the later stages are hell and took me days
Super Monkey Ball - 2 last worlds are stupidly hard
Chronos Twin - Fries my brain and tires my eyes at later stages

I love those kind of games

I thought Elite Beat Agents/Ouendan was pretty tough but it's nothing compared to Trauma Center, beating the main campaign is hard enough let alone beating all the challenges and god forbid getting an S rank on all of them...

Trauma Center is evil but it's a great game.

Not really...you can limp thru all of the challenges and "complete" the game. You don't HAVE to strive for perfection you know.

On topic: Contra 4...fuck that game.

Trauma Center, by far.
Runner-ups include: My Frogger Toy Trials, Zendoku, Contra 4

That's excluding RPGs (hard because of required grinding) and at higher difficulty settings you can bring in the Ouendans and PoR (lv1 cap, yeah).

Contra 4 is overrated (difficulty-wise) - it really is just memorisation (especially for hard) and abuse of stacked weapons.

And I've played A LOT.

I still refuse to put Trauma Center in my DS. The last time I got to some of those final challenges, I almost ripped my DS in half at the hinge.

I would have to say Contra 4, and Elite Beat Agents at the later stages on the hardest mode (it's INSANE).
