Eh you cant catch Ho-Oh in Diamond. Maybe thats why its so hard, you've been searching for something that doesn't exist in that specific game

I'd have to say Trauma Center. Contra 4 isn't really that difficult when you memorize the levels, but its not easy either.

Trauma Center however had impregnable stages (for me at least)

i didn't finish those games on my first try, therefore are very difficult.

i still haven't tried contra 4. but i have to agree, nanostray was badass tough nut to crack.

I know this topic is fairly old, but I feel I must say this.

Bomberman Land Touch! on hard mode.
It was one of those crazy hard games of mini-games where if you didn't do everything perfectly, you wouldn't beat the boarderline time/amount of points needed to win the mini-game. winning it the first time isn't so bad, but when you play it the second time to get a special token, that's when it gets to the description above.

And this was just on easy mode.

I have never beaten Hard mode of this game since it is so ridiculously unfair and cruel. I had only beaten easy mode once before, and had a horrible time beating it. I played it a second time on my R4 recently though, and I got mega lucky and beat it with much more ease. Though it was still a major pain in the butt. I just uploaded an SAV file of the game if you want to try hard mode. Just start a new game and you'll get the option of playing hard mode. This file also gives you the option of just playing the mini-games in the attractions mode since I beat all of story mode. Saves you the trouble of beating those horrible records.

Contra 4 was hard, but I got to finish it with some training, and complete all 40 challenges.

I guess the hardest games I've played on the DS are Ouendan & co with the cheerleaders! That was awfully difficult

I'm wondered, why Contra 4 was "too dificult" almost every one... With easy -> WAY too easy, Normal -> about same dificulty that was on NES games, Hard -> now there was a challenge, but still beated it with one continue.

I would say Contra 4... I just beaten it on hard... and I must say you must be some kind of hardcore 2d shooter to beat it. Currently working on the challenges... yup, it is hard!

The lack of herbs/ammo gets to ya!!!

i also agree with with trauma center being the hardest game. So much anger, I bought the game a year ago and i've still yet to beat it. Gamefaqs was useless. I'm getting angry just thinking about the game. argh
