Hi! Well I'm hoping to not come across as too science fiction, but I need a way to compress my games that are in wup format. I think the games are too large and it's such a shame to be wasting all that space on my wii u's external hard drive. I don't want to get a bigger hard drive as for me that's not needed, but I'm super impressed at what some people have on their wii u home screen. It looks like something out of 3001. For me that's not needed, though, I'm simply asking if there is a way to compress the wii u game's that are in wup format.

You can compress games. But then they are not usable on real hardware. For the wii u you have just the wup format. Cemu can use formats like .wux, .wud or .wua. And .wua is the "most compressed" format. But can only be used in cemu.

Yea, wup is encrypted and encrypted stuff tends to be badly compressible.

What could work through, even if a lot of work: Decrypt (CDecrypt) and compress the result with your favorite algo (gzip, bzip, lzo, lzma, ...). Then, when you need the original back: Decompress and encrypt (NUSPacker).
