Hey @Sgt. Lulz switching the tutorial from RXtools is a good idea in my opinion, however, keep in mind that Reinand only supports n3ds. I would recommend you switch it over to cakes, since its both lightweight and supports o3ds and n3ds without any problem.

The main con about 4.5+ is that you lose the ability to launch exploits through mset, but on the plus side, you get the ability to pseudo-coldboot homebrew and CFW through Menuhax on 9.0.
As for the MM thing, read up about 6.x save encryption. Whatever it is that caused the 6.x encryption to not be read properly on emuNAND is beyond me, but it's almost certainly related to NAND linkage.
And, yes, that's correct. 6.0+ firmwares don't have this save encryption problem.

Nope, not with Menuhax.

I've currently fixed my emunand. It works but i don't understand how to install cia's into emunand (instead of sysnand)
(When starting holding the L button it will give me a purple menu for a few sec and than it runs rxtools to launch the emunand.)

From what i understand, you need to open healt & safety. But it doesn't launch fbi. It just launch the healt and safety menu.

Am I downloading firmware.bin properly? It downloads the first and it finishes, but it then asks to press any keys and returns this:

EDIT: the reason I'm asking this is because CtrBootManger shows arm9 payload failed to load or something, and I read that it was related to firmware.bin

Hi I'm new to modding Nintendo products I have a 2DS which is on OFW 10.1.0 and looking to use it for CIA's and maybe a few Emulators what is the best way to go do i downgrade it to 9.2 or just go ahead a follow all the steps on page 1?.

Yes, you would have to downgrade to 9.2 to do anything. There's no other way around it.

Also: I've updated the tutorial to use Cakes instead of rxTools.
Hopefully now things will stop going completely wrong.

Ok I've tried downgrading but it's not working I've got homebrew launcher installed and when I go to the sysupdate at the bottom and press y to downgrade it said it was successful but when it reboots after installation it shows in settings it's still on 10.3.0 had to upgrade from 10.1.0 as the browser wasn't working for me

Below attached is the screen i seen on the sysupdate then i hit downgrade it only installed one cia and everytime I go back into it just shows me this again

Did you drop the updates/ folder into the SD card root properly?
There should be a bunch of .cia files numbered in the hundreds in there.
Moreover, do you have the right downgrade package?

Just checked on the memcard and the downloaded folder of updates and most CIA's on the memcard have gone so moving it all back over will let u know

I've noticed this has dropped rxtools and put CakesFW instead.

Has RXTools become obsolete? Is it worth changing it to cakesFW?

Just checked after moving the updates folder over again and I'm still getting the same screen as I posted do I go ahead and try the downgrade again or will it not work?

Edit: no worries I managed to just go ahead and try to downgrade again and it work so I'm now on 9.2.0 woohoo

Guys ive been looking for hours and cant find anything. My sysupdater for downgrading from 10.3 to 9.2 freezes on the screen where i have my options on menuhax and on browserhax aswell any help plz.
